Church Camp Twitter Diary: Day 1

Over the weekend I’ve been enjoying the Church Camp. I thought I’d experiment this year with a personal Twitter diary using #favbapcamp and the results are here! Experience the camp with me as it happened, photos added. Day 1 – Friday:
revgeoffcook 4.10pm Setting off for Church Camp soon. Any tweets over the weekend from FBC folk can use #favbapcamp.
revgeoffcook 6.58pm Arrived at #favbapcamp. Tent up. People slowing arriving. Grid and Substance due to happen soon. Sun still shining.
revgeoffcook 7.36pm Walking through the wheat fields with twenty teenagers at #favbapcamp. Only thing to spoil it is knowing Murray is in trouble.
revgeoffcook 7.42pm According to my daughter the beans are ripe and ready. She seems to like them in the field but won’t touch them on a plate!
revgeoffcook 7.49pm To misquote Kate Bush, twenty teenagers are ‘running down that hill – no problem’.
revgeoffcook 8.02pm This is far more sedate than a normal Friday evening.
revgeoffcook 8.19pm Heading back to #favbapcamp now. Sun low, slightly chilly. I seem to be bringing up the rear. Hope we still have twenty.
revgeoffcook 8.48pm Deep in the countryside, 8.45pm – is that an ice cream van I hear? Nope, it’s distant bell practice at Sheldwich Church.
revgeoffcook 9.16pm All safely back at #favbapcamp. Last tents up. Atmosphere relaxed. Youngsters kick around, toddlers escape, others just sit as light fades.
revgeoffcook 10.50pm Lights out. Night all.
