Celebrate Easter 2012 With Us!

Why not celebrate Easter at FBC?

Next Sunday see the start of ‘Holy Week’ in the run up to the Easter weekend. It’s the most important time of the year for Christians as we remember the events surrounding the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus. There’s plenty going on at Faversham Baptist Church (including our Butterflies Toddlers Easter Specials this Tuesday and Wednesday) but our celebrations start in earnest next week.

It all kicks off on 1st April with our Palm Sunday All-Age Worship when we will be acclaiming Jesus as King and finding out why everyone has been asked to bring a piece of fruit to church!

On Maundy Thursday we will be continuing with our BigRead12, where we’ve been following Mark’s account of Jesus’ life, with a session called Finale? and taking communion together.

On Good Friday, we have our Churches Together Service in the Market Place at 10.45am. Join us any time from 10am at the United Church, Preston Street, for coffee and then the Walk of Witness behind the cross down into town for the service.

At 1pm the same day we will be meeting in Boughton for a Picnic Lunch and a ramble around the countryside.

On Easter Sunday morning we gather at 8am for breakfast, and then All-Age Worship Celebration at 10.30am. Come prepared to take part in a service which proclaims ‘Jesus is Alive!’
