40 Days of Good News

Following hard on the heels of 40 Days of Prayer – and as a perfect follow-up to our Easter celebrations – comes 40 Days of Good News.

From 10th April to 15th May 2016, along with other Baptists all around the country, we will aim to spend forty days proactively SHOWING and TELLING the Good News of Jesus.

As Christians we are ambassadors of Jesus, sent out to share the wonderful message of his love, grace and mercy.  During these forty days we particularly want to encourage each other to SHOW and TELL this message to our families, friends, neighbours and work colleagues.  Let’s encourage each other to step out of our comfort zones and explore ways of being good news in our communities and networks.  Let’s pray for and motivate each other to look for opportunities to tell our neighbours in Faversham the wonderful message of Jesus.

Before 10th April, all of us are being encouraged to think and pray about how we might best use this opportunity, either individually or by banding together. It may be that you will want to organise an evening at home or coffee morning for your friends and neighbours, and then invite someone in to share their Christian story. Or maybe you could run something at The Meeting Place – a craft group, art club or book club perhaps – with a chance to natter about faith and Jesus over an activity and a coffee.

During the forty days there will be ideas, suggestions and challenges for everyone, each week for five weeks.

The Good News of Jesus is just too good to keep to ourselves. Let’s make this a forty days to remember!
