One hundred and fifty years ago this year, the founding members of Faversham Baptist Church began to share together in the worship and witness of Jesus. Today, the church is still here – and that’s us! Not the building, nor the ‘services’ but you and me – the living stones of Jesus’ church for the present. Over six years ago we tried to capture the essence of what this means in our Membership Covenant (see below). As we celebrate the church’s anniversary this year, it is my hope that we renew our desire to be in covenant relationship with each other and to live it out as we seek to follow Jesus together.

FBC Membership Covenant

We believe that we hold the high privilege and the great responsibilities of those whose lives have been changed by God. Therefore we now willingly commit ourselves to God and to one another in covenant relationship, in the fellowship of the gospel, to walk in all His ways, made known or to be made known to us, according to our best endeavours whatever it should cost us, the Lord assisting us.
