‘Beyond 400’ is also a new website which has been designed as a means of encouraging new thinking and widespread discussion regarding the future of Baptist life in the UK. Much change is inevitable due to a gaping whole in finances, but many are seeing this as a creative opportunity for an open conversation.
Those behind the site say: “We hope that prophetic hunches, helpful insights, and creative thinking will emerge as baptists imagine what might be next after 400 years in Britain”.
Fortypeople have been invited to write a short piece of no more than 700 words and the first contibution is online now.
This seems to me to be just what we need, so I do encourage you to read the contributions and join the conversation.
