Here we go – another new year!

As I’ve been reflecting recently on the past year I have become aware again of just how much I appreciate sharing with you all in serving the Lord Jesus at FBC. I’ve been thinking and praying about the year ahead, and have become convinced that it would be good in the next few months to encourage opportunities to respond to what God is saying to us.

As a result, there will be a chance in January for us all to evaluate the part we play in our church community. Alongside this, there are a number of things to let you know:

•    I am planning a service soon that will include believers’ baptism, and would love to hear from you if God is prompting you to be baptised or just want to know more.

•    I am also planning some workshop opportunities for those interested in helping to prepare or lead any aspect of worship services; have a word with me if this is you.

•    We have two vacancies on the diaconate. Maybe God wants you to serve in this way? We need a Children’s Ministry Co-ordinator. Speak to me if you want further details.

•    As we review how we care for one another in the church family,there will be a renewed emphasis on our existing Pastoral Area Groups. It has been good recently to receive new folk into membership, and we shall be looking at how we relate together locally as part of the church of Jesus Christ.
