Pastoral Area Groups
Friday, 13 January 2012 |The New Testament calls us to get along with each other as the community of God’s people. Jesus commanded us to love one another (John 13:35) and the words ‘one another’ occur nearly sixty times.
Amongst other things, we are to be devoted to one another (Rom 12:10), build up one another (Rom 14:19), care for one another (1 Cor 12:25), serve one another (Gal 5:13), bear one another's burdens (Gal 6:2), be kind and compassionate to one another (Eph 4:32), comfort one another (1 Thess 4:18), show hospitality to one another (1 Pet 4:9) and pray for one another (Jam 5:16).
One practical way to do this is for each of us to take responsibility for others in our Pastoral Area Groups. Depending on where we live we are all within one of eight Pastoral Areas. The idea is that we watch out for one another and offer any practical care and help we can.

If there are specific needs at any time, please mention this to one of our Pastoral Team: Ann Smith, Peter and Margaret Cowdry, Liz Gould and myself.
