Puppets and Cherries?

What do puppets and cherries have in common?

Over the weekend of 10th and 11th July the Funkydoodles Puppet Theatre were invited to take part in the Cherry Festival at Brogdale Farms, home of the National Fruit Collection. Thousands of visitors flocked to taste the best of 320 varieties of cherry, enjoy live music, archery, falconry and gun dog displays, cooking demonstrations, horticultural talks, the miniature railway, orchard tours, a craft market and more.

Over in the Children’s Zone, next to the bouncy castle, the Funkydoodles were entertaining the crowds with songs, mime and Bible stories, all delivered with a huge dose of fun. Children and adults alike found themselves joining in with a zany retelling of the Parable of the Lost Sheep, and clapping along to familiar songs given a new twist with different words.
