Debbie – Day 5 Thursday

Today was a spiritually humbling experience. We have so much and yet are so spiritually dry in comparison with these good people. We visited the Baptist Church in Thakurpukur where a school for years 1 to 4 is run; everyone works there in a voluntary capacity and the children are ever so cute in their blue and white uniforms, so eager to please and happy to sing. What I enjoyed the most was when they got up and and quoted scripture – we seem to be so slack in this area but they are so full of joy. It is this that made me realise we need to to become better acquainted with the Word of God – we need to bind it to our hearts and use it every day; we need to live in faith and claim His victory. We need to be as faithful as these good people.

While in Thakurpukur we were also privileged to visit the Trans World Radio (TWR) studios and Steve was in his element. We were also privileged to have an afternoon free and a chance to recharge (think of Geoff and his sermon on the Holy Spirit – I find I do every time I plug something in. Thanks Geoff) and it is going to be all guns blazing for tomorrow!
