Sam – Day 3 & 4 Tue & Wed

The children are so happy to share despite the fact that they have so little and they are unlikely to have the opportunity to reach their full potential. This is sickening when thinking of many British children as they have so much more in every way yet are less welcoming and friendly. It is very unfair for the children as they have to lose their childhood so quickly with many 5 year olds more capable of looking after themselves than most teenagers and most ten year olds more capable than some 20 year olds that you would find in Britain. The children were also so unreserved and welcoming despite their suffering which is so different to what is found in Britain. The difference in wealth is shocking as opposite the BMS centre there may be up to 9 or 10 families living in less space than our room. This is just as clear when you go to parts of Calcutta which could be in any developed major city while just round the corner there were people living out of bins.
