I don’t know how to describe in words my experience in India, as we did so much. My main highlight was the journeys on the GNCEM (Good News Children’s Education Mission) mini-bus and visits to their mobile school. I wasn’t expecting the children to be as happy as they were as they have so little in comparison to us. However, they were filled with joy and laughter and were very welcoming.

As I would like to work with young children, seeing a school in a completely different culture was particularly meaningful to me. I felt Very humbled observing the teachers at the school who work so hard to improve the children’s education. Seeing their dedication towards their work, encouraged me to volunteer to help with the youngest children in our Bright Sparks group at FBC.

I feel very privileged at my age to have taken part in such an amazing trip and one day would love to return there.
