We are near the end of another year, and 2014 already beckons. I am delighted that we have made the decision as a church to read through the Bible next year.

What’s it all about? It’s about helping all of us to not only engage with the Bible on a daily basis, but to read it in its entirety. The hope is that throughout 2014, many of us as individuals will read through the Bible, and will share our experiences through our home groups and our web site.

We want to bring people together and give ourselves the freedom to talk about what we’re enjoying, what we may be struggling with and what we’re learning about. It will be an opportunity to be encouraged by one another and to be reminded that there are many of us on this journey together.

And not only at FBC. Many others across the country will be doing the same thing and sharing how they are getting on via www.onebible.co.uk, creating a written or video blog about their experiences. You can join in if you want to and, who knows, your voice may be the encouragement that someone else needs.
