Day 2: God’s Great Intolerance

Today’s readings include the account in Genesis 3 of ‘The Fall’ – human beings rebelling against the rule of God in their lives.

Sin has been defined as ‘God’s one great intolerance’.

Is this a good description? Why won’t God tolerate sin?

How easy is it to recognise our own sin? Do we identify with the description of the human condition as:

a mixture of unpredictable petulance, retaliation, hostility and self-concern.
