Here are some Psalms written by the young people of Distinctive, developed ‘Consequences’ style (write a line, fold the paper and pass it on).

Sing happily to the Lord for he is the one who saves you.
Thank you very much!
How long will we live in a corrupt world, O God?
Lord, you will love us to the day we are no more,
and even then you keep your love flowing.
Help me to regenerate
like a baby from a mother’s womb.
Bless the Lord,
for he is the one who saves and never forgets us!

Lord, you have everything under control.
My God is the greatest, most powerful God
and will remain so forever.
Will you shelter me from the storms of this world?
God you never fail, though we fail,
and your love is as wide as the widest thing ever.
Renew our faith, Lord,
so that you are able to change the hearts
of those who speak against you.
You are extremely reassuring and amazing!

I will praise the Lord, who is most high,
and he will be my leader.
Worship him every day of your life.
Why do you sometimes seem so far away from me?
God is all powerful;
those who put their trust in him will be saved.
God is good!
So please, just remind me that you are always there.
Praise the Lord, lift him high
and worship him always. Amen.

Praise the Lord with all your heart,
for he is good.
We are thirsty for God:
How long must we wait for a response to our cries?
But really, you are there,
and it’s all going to be good.
Save us from the disastrous world in which we live.
Praise him, praise him, praise him!

Sing joyfully; it is right to praise.
When will the Lord find me again
and save me from disaster?
O Lord, help me when you don’t seem to be there.
I know my Lord gives care to all people.
Forgive and renew our unfaithful hearts,
and deliver us from the evil that surrounds us.
Praise him, praise him, praise him –
that’s what we will do today and always.
