There had been a Boys' Brigade at Faversham Baptist Church (1st Faversham Boys' Brigade) for some time when in the late 1980s it was suggested that a Girls' Brigade should be started. A special church service marked the formation of the group and soon after a parade was held in Faversham for local GB and BB groups in the area.
