How can Psalm 42 help us when we’re feeling low, feeling down, feeling discouraged or depressed?

What or who encourages, urges or persuades you to be more Christ-like? How might you encourage, comfort and urge others in their faith journey?

God has called Christians to holiness and community. Faithfulness to God is a team sport that requires the unity of the church.

To encourage us, James shows us three things we need to remember as we face the spiritual battles of life.

The book ends with a stirring word of encouragement to a discouraged leader. It was God’s way of saying, “Don’t ever give up. You have no idea of how great my plans are for you.”

You can't survive spiritually without other Christians who support you, encourage you, pray for you, and help you grow into a strong follower of Jesus Christ.

Paul is more interested in the faith of the Thessalonians than anything else. Why so important? Why do we need to stand firm in the faith? What will stop us standing firm in the faith? And how do we stand firm in the faith?

These and the following chapters of Revelation are not what we want to hear, just as the news from the doctor may not be what we want to hear. But it is what we must hear if the world is to be healed.
